What you will get out of it: Learn about organizations and careers in the mental health field by listening to a panel discussion, and connect with industry professionals during the networking session that follows.

Join Career Services for an engaging evening focused on exploring careers and trends in the mental health field. A panel of professionals will share their insights, experiences, and perspectives on working in this important sector. After the discussion, you will have the chance to connect with panelists and other attendees for networking.

Panelists
- Sgt. Richardson - Ottawa Police Service
- The Ottawa Police Service employs over 2,100 officer and civilian employees. Their Mental Health Crisis Unit (MHU) and its partners from The Ottawa Hospital's Mobile Crisis Team (MCT) collaborate daily to support members of our community that are in crisis or require urgent connection to mental health support and resources. The mental health professionals of the Mobile Crisis Team and the specially trained officers of the Mental Health Crisis Unit routinely conduct visits in the community together to assist those in crisis
- Taylor Clarke, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) - Mindspa Mental Health Centre
- Mindspa Mental Health Centre provides therapy services in Ottawa, Kanata, and Gloucester. Their therapists provide individual, couples, child, and teen psychotherapy, as well as psychological assessments and neurofeedback.
- Allison Kenney, Program Director - MacKay Manor
- MacKay Manor Inc provides multi-tiered addiction recovery support and services to individuals throughout their recovery process. Their vision is that each individual reaching out for support will be welcomed and leave with a deeper connection to their own wellness and recovery. MacKay Manor Inc has one in patient recovery home program and three outpatient community based programs.
- Heather Wacyk, Clinical Services Specialist - Cornerstone Housing for Women
- Cornerstone Housing for Women is the largest women-only shelter and housing provider for women experiencing homelessness in Ottawa. Each year, more than 1,300 women experience homelessness in the city. Cornerstone Housing for Women's mission is to provide a continuum of housing and support for women and gender-diverse people that is inclusive and reduces barriers.
