How to Attend

Sign up now through mySuccess to secure your spot. Space is limited, so register early!

What to Expect

  • Walking to Health Sciences building to visit Virica Biotech
  • LRT ride (one stop north) and a short walk to visit Siemens Healthineers. We will return to Carleton the same way. You are responsible for paying your fare on the LRT.
  • Guided tours (sitting and standing for periods of time).
  • Networking opportunities and initiating conversation with employers.
  • Listening to employers either one-on-one or in a group setting.

What to Wear

  • Wear business casual attire or something you feel comfortable networking in. In addition to helping you get in the right mindset and boosting your confidence, this presents a professional image to the individuals you'll be meeting.
  • We are planning to visit manufacturing facilities and labs. For that reason, we ask that all participants wear closed toe shoes (no sandals or open-toed shoes) and clothing that covers past the knees (pants or dress). All other specific PPE required will be provided.

How to Prepare

  • Research the organizations that you will be visiting. Prepare a few questions for each one.
  • Prepare your talking points to introduce yourself (short overview about your background, what you're studying, and your career goals).
  • Have a pen and notepad with you so you can jot down the representatives' responses or new questions that you think of during the conversation.
  • If you connect with anyone, follow up after the event and keep the momentum going from your meetings (for instance, connect on LinkedIn).

If you require accommodations for a disability to take part in this event, please email bill.ranson@carleton.ca.
