Feb 10, 2026 02:00 PM to 04:00 PM
In-Person (402 MacOdrum Library)
Registration Deadline: Feb 10, 2026 02:00 PM

Join us for the in-house launch of our new CSAS workshop on learning with Generative AI (GenAI)!

This interactive, in-person session explores how GenAI can enhance (not replace) your learning. Discover how to use GenAI responsibly, reduce cognitive load, and strike the right balance between offloading tasks and building essential academic skills. We'll also unpack the risks of over-reliance, alongside strategies to maintain academic integrity in an AI-supported world.

In this workshop, you will:

  • Describe Generative Artificial Intelligence and list some of its benefits and limitations.
  • Identify potential risks of using GenAI in an academic setting.
  • Recognize and evaluate responsible strategies for using GenAI tools.
  • Apply at least one strategy for using GenAI responsibly.
  • Incorporate at least one strategy for using GenAI responsibly this term, in a course that permits GenAI use.

Light refreshments will be served.

This workshop is NOT eligible for the Incentive Program.
