Join us the week of Monday, November 13th to Friday, November 17th as we celebrate Science Kindness Week and being kind to one another. Join your friends and peers throughout the week to participate in fun and inclusive community events.
The days of Science Kindness Week are as follows:
- Mindful Monday - November 13th
Painting: 10:00am to 4:00pm
Start of the week off with an activity to get your creative mind firing! Come to the SSSC (3431 Herzberg) anytime between 10:00am to 4:00pm to paint your next masterpiece.
Canvas, paints, and brushes will be provided to all participants at the event.
- Thoughtful Tuesday - November 14th
Sticky Notes
We are spreading some positivity on-campus will sticky notes around your favourite science buildings. Keep an eye out! We hope these messages bring you some extra joy this November!
Traditional Mini Drum Workshop: 11:00am to 12:00pm
Join Vanessa Cyr from the Centre for Indigenous Support and Community Engagement to be lead through an amazing Traditional Mini Drum Workshop from 11:00am to 12:00pm in the SSSC. Learn some drum knowledge while Vanessa guides the group through the construction of this craft!

Decorate a Mini Pot: 10:00am to 2:30pm
Come by the SSSC to decorate an adorable, mini pot from 10:00am to 2:30pm. Create a design all your succulents will love!
Speedy's *Shifted* Office Hour: 1:00pm to 2:00pm
Stop by the SSSC from 1:00pm to 2:00pm for a special Science Kindness Week Office Hour with CU Therapy Dog, Speedy!
Wholesome Wednesday Instagram Contest
Lastly, be sure to tune in all day to the SSSC's Instagram for our Wholesome Wednesday Contest. Share a picture of what you feel is wholesome (e.g. pets, a comfort food dish, your favourite book, cuddling up with a blanket on a cold day, etc.) to get the chance to win a prize!
- Throwback Thursday - November 16th
Arts & Crafts: 12:00pm to 4:00pm
Take a break from midterms, assignments and studying to do some relaxing arts and crafts with SSSC mentors! In line with our Throwback Thursday theme, get the chance to make friendship bracelets and origami flowers from 12:00pm to 4:00pm.
Karaoke Night: 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Warm up those singing voices and pick out your favorite songs for an amazing night of tunes and making new friends! Join us in the SSSC (3431 Herzberg) for some karaoke, snacks and some great times!
P.S: Singing skills are not required and all are encouraged to sing along!

Board Game Bash: 2:30pm to 4:00pm
Are you a fan of board games? How about card games?
Participate in the SSSC's Board Game Bash from 2:30pm to 4:00pm. Meet new friends, have snacks, and end the week on a fun note!
